Y'all, this was my first ever Tarot deck. I was 11 or 12 years old, and I spotted this deck of cards in my favorite place at that age - the book store in the local mall. The images didn't speak to me, they screamed - here were beautiful people in elegant robes. Here was exquitiste jewelry that conveyed the mystic and divine in a few, simple lines. Here were cats - the classic familiar, the independent and self reliant icon - held in the highest esteem. I absolutely *had* to have this deck.
So my Mom bought me The Tarot of the Cat, coming up on forty years ago now. And the rest is history.
