This piece has a tall, highly detailed Cameo effect, as if St Jane is emerging from the powder finish background. St Jane Frances de Chantal was a nun in the early 1700s who started a new order, specifically to take in nuns who were not wanted by other abbeys and orders due to their age or poor health. This is stamped CHAPEL on the reverse, and also features a STERLING Mark on the back. ** I have hand polished this piece. If you would like it machine polished to a bright finish, please let me know.**
